Churches and Cantata Notes From Monroe City

Sunday church notices and meetings across Monroe City include multiple denominations. Holy Rosary hosts a Christmas Cantata December 21 with a detailed Opera House program and student performers, while several churches announce Advent services, protracted meetings, and Sunday schedules led by Rev. Holliday, Rev. Smith, Rev. Latham, and Rev. Trickett. An Odd Fellows meeting near year end is described with initiations, officers, and a grand roll-call event. A comic opera by a Springfield child and a commentary on Hearst price shifts conclude the column.
