In Paris the Duc dOrleans son of the Count and Countess of Paris was found guilty of violating exile laws and sentenced to two years in prison. The crowded Tribunal of the Seine erupted in pro and anti monarchist demonstrations as police made twenty five arrests. Iowa House Adopts Mileage Report as Deadlock Persists
Des Moines Iowa February 13 The Iowa House met at 10 30 am and adjourned after a half hour officials report the mileage committee recommendation is approved. Three ballots each 45 for Hamilton and Wilson indicate continued stalemate and a possible extra session to seat Governor Boies pass appropriations set joint freight rates and consider the prohibition law. A telegraph charges bill is introduced in the Senate setting Iowa rates for twenty five words per two points and one cent per word thereafter. In New York F Woodruff & Co fish and salt dealers fail with claimed capital 600000 though discounts and facilities reach 500000.
