State Grange Meeting in Champaign Adopts New By laws
The State Grange met in Champaign from Tuesday to Friday with 135 delegates from 65 counties. Officers elected were Master A. P. Forsyth Overseer John Downen Treasurer J. S. Armstrong Secretary J. M. Chambers and Executive Committee members for two years A. J. Alexander D. N. Foster and for one year R. M. Guy and Anderson. The group visited the Agricultural University approved its management and discussed revenue. Donations exceeded $13,000 with $10,000 received and about $3,000 from the National Grange. They debated cooperative stores and cash trade and changed by laws to four executive members.
