Students Shine at State Grange Visit and Normal Week
President Ackerman spent Thursday at the State Grange in Salem. Elkins rural center pupils entertained the Grange audience last Wednesday night. School officials and superintendents from Eugene Corvallis Hood River and Marion County interviewed students for positions. Summer school rates were not reinstated by railroads due to wartime policy. The Oregon Normal Summer School opens June 24 with both special and regular courses. Educational film on electric light globe manufacturing and safety first devices entertained chapel crowds. Commencement plans and campus practices fill Monmouth ahead of graduation. Art talks and exhibits impressed Independence Parent Teachers Association.
