Rebekahs Entertain Odd Fellows For A Social Evening
The Rebekah Lodge women hosted the Odd Fellows Thursday evening the 11th with supper for about one hundred attendees. Young guests joined later, enjoyed informal service in the anteroom, and games and music followed. The Noble Grand and her husband led the group while organizers thanked the Rebekahs for a delightful family gathering.

City Council Advances Warrants for 1914 15 Water Fire Protection
The City Council met Saturday in adjourned session and authorized the city recorder to draw warrants on the General Fund for water use for fire protection in November and December 1914 and on land for January and February 1915. A warrant on the Water Fund for 750.40 was approved to pay the March interest on the bonded indebtedness of the City of Monmouth.

Mrs. L. D. Oakes died at home after her daughter Miss Clarice Oakes left school to come home to Portland last Friday due to the mother’s failing health. The mother had been in ill health for over a year.

Obituary of Levinah Y Fisher in Oregon long life
Levinah Y. Fisher born September 7 1839 in Taney County Missouri married 1856 to William Fisher they had ten children with five dying in infancy. She moved to Oregon in 1840s lived in Monmouth a charter Evangelical member and mother to a clergyman. She died February 12 1915 aged 75 years 5 months 6 days leaving a testament of faith and family devotion.
