Runaway Team Disrupts Town Path Near Huber Yard
A. R. Crowley’s team bolted Monday from Talmage as a locomotive whistle frightened the horses. They swerved along Main Street, paused at a bakery, passed Newman's blacksmith shop, then head east to A. F. Huber’s property where they reined in and became snagged on an apple tree in Huber’s yard. H. S. Portwood captured the animals with minimal damage to the yard and porch area.
