Normal School praises Legislature for funding and reports spring events
The Normal welcomes continued state support enabling higher standards. President Ackerman and the Polk County delegation are thanked for the appropriation. The February class includes many active students and alumni. Monmouth Soldiers Benefit Meeting Discusses Relief Fund
Representatives of a Monmouth public group met in the 1 0 P M hall to report on soldier relief efforts. Rev Conklit and President Ackerman led a discussion on aiding returning soldiers and preventing crowding in cities. A $1000 Red Cross fund may support local work and a community recreation center could rise from the effort.
