Mrs Adah Unruh state superintendent of the WCTU will speak at a union service in the Evangelical church Sunday evening April 17 1910 in Monmouth. She is a well known speaker and will address the citizens urging uplift of humanity. All are invited to attend.
The Kendall entertainment Friday night drew a good crowd despite bad weather. Mr. Kendall sang with a magnificent voice and broad range, entertaining diverse tastes and promising to satisfy many attendees in future performances.
A mixed shower hosted by the Loyal Daughters of the Christian church at Miss Eth el Lucas home on Tuesday evening honored Miss Letha Tupper who departs for Dilley Oregon Sunday. Guests included Ruth Wood Anna Wood Nettie McNeil Olea Shore Leto Wolverton Lorena Daniel Hazel Work Sara Hyde Loetta Shore Elva Lucas Emeline Parker Ethel Lucas Agnes Clark and Lydia Powell. J B Wright of Forest Grove bought horses in the area while W A and John Middleton of Rickreall stayed at Hotel Hampton Monday.

Judge George H. Williams known as the Grand Old Man of Oregon was found dead in his Portland bed early Monday morning. The longtime advocate of Oregon interests passed peacefully, marking another loss among the state’s pioneer citizens in recent months.
