Elara Cox and Lupe Carrasco will compete at the state Vocation al Office Education contests in San Antonio after placing at Midland College. Cox won General Clerical II first and Carrasco second in Student Job Manual, with Sharon Meason Area IV Reporter-Historian and advisor Gayla Langley accompanying.

County approves bids and transfers at brief County meeting
County commissioners met in a brief session and awarded the low bid of 37470 for a hot oil tank from Conley Locke Nichols with delivery set for May 15.
