A Texas Mid Continent Oil and Gas Association study shows Ward County’s 1965 oil and gas activity yields over 88.4 million dollars in annual economic stimulation. Ward County produced 28.2 million barrels of crude oil valued at 83.6 million and 36.9 billion cubic feet of natural gas valued at 4.8 million, with liquids from processing plants worth 1.9 million and landowner royalties exceeding 11 million.
