San Angelo Couple to Wed at Johnson Street Church
The June 16 ceremony at 7 p.m. at Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo will unite Miss Jaxine Clifton and Len Boling of San Angelo. The couple’s parents are Mrs. Wilma Clifton and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Boling, all of San Angelo, with Mr. Boling formerly of Monahans. The church will feature three candelabras and twin wicker baskets with gladioli for the occasion.

Remember these tips for summer rose care. A little spring work yields abundant roses in fall. Remove spent blooms to direct energy to new growth. Cut old flowers above the second five leaflets to avoid blind shoots. Water deeply 8 to 10 inches weekly in heat. Apply complete fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks but stop after mid August. In alkaline soil iron deficiency may occur. consult Tron Chlorosis leaflet. Use a preventive spray program for blackspot and mildew with a suitable fungicide every 7 to 10 days until frost, extending to two weeks in heat.
