The Saturday June 12 unit game crowned Miss Jimmie Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Hill of Midland first, with Odessa pair Mrs. George Clark and Mrs. R L Griffin taking second and Mr. and Mrs. Jack LaVigne third. A tie for fourth and fifth linked Mrs. Bernice Plate with Mrs. Gladys Bowers of Crane and Mrs. N A Green with Mrs. Leta Myers of Midland. Sixth went to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ranne of Midland and seventh to Mrs. Mildred Bodenhoff and Mrs. Bob Croft.
Monahans Business and Professional Women installed officers after a June 10 dinner at the Episcopal Church hall. Outgoing president presided. installing officer noted a vital year ahead with women’s status improvements. Installation featured quotes by Louisa May Alcott and other leaders as new officers took duties.
