Youth Revival Opens Thursday At Bethany Baptist Church

Injunction Hearing Set for Pyote Monahans Merger Dispute

Lubbock Music Camp Opens August 1 at Lubbock Christian
Lubbock Christian College announces its seventh annual music camp with registration starting August 1. The two week program, directed by Charles Cox, offers vocal and instrumental instruction for junior and senior high students and expects enrollment over 250. Last year’s general fund totaled 607251 50 with a projected end cash balance of 3894. the proposed tax rate remains 1.20 per 100. Fire Destroys Residence of Mr. and Mrs. Rose
A Saturday morning fire gutted the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. R. Rose at 109 E. 9th, starting in a closet and engulfing the entire house. Fire officials did not disclose a cause. The Roses, employed by Pool Well Service Co., have four small children and lost all furniture and clothing.

Monahans Boy Scouts to Attend World’s Fair as Guides
Four Monahans Scouts will depart next week to serve as guides at the World’s Fair from August 9 to 16. Led by R T Wilson, the Buffalo Trail Council Troop 69 plans a route through St Louis Springfield NL Gettysburg Philadelphia and New York City with a return via Washington Williamsburg Va and Nashville.
