West Texas to Host SAC Bombing Range Training
Strategic Air Command will use a new Monahans area bombing site for a year to simulate bomb drops and radar scoring. B 52 and FB 111 crews, 22 staff, 90 day rotations, with further personnel added after July 1. Sites will stretch from the Texas New Mexico border toward Carlsbad New Mexico and Roswell, with routes coordinated with the FAA and avoiding populated areas.
