Hedrick of Fort Worth designed plans for two street level business establishments, sixteen offices on the second floor, and lodge rooms on the third, awaiting financing and Grand Lodge approval. The site sits between the new Tatum building at Sealy and Minor and the Lone Star Cafe.

Western Union Adds Messenger Operator To Monahans Staff
Western Union expands Monahans office by adding a messenger operator to provide service from 8 a m to 8 p m. Previously J O Wolfe operated alone and the noon closure met the Wages and Hours law. New Acreage Totals in Ward County Reach 8048 Acres
Ward county will place 8048 acres of new land in cultivation for 1939, bringing total cultivated area to 25,648 acres. Barstow accounts for about 5000 new acres, Grandfalls adds 2968, and a south Pyote tract covers 80. About 14,000 acres are in Barstow and 11,000 in Grandfalls.

Grand Jury indicts Bob Daffing alias Bob Daf ford alias Bob Taylor 35 Red River county arrested here last Friday by city police on forgery. He passed a forged check while working at a local service station last fall. He has two years in Huntsville for auto theft and is wanted by Red River authorities on another felony theft. City Police Recover Stolen Clothing Here
City police have recovered numerous coats and blankets stolen from cars parked in front of the Permian Ice Company Monday night. A man named James A. Green is held in jail for the theft on a felony charge. Several local car owners report about 75 dollars in merchandise taken. His case will be heard at the next District Court term.
