Blue Haven Cafe Burglarized Again in Monahans
Blue Haven Cafe a well known colored night spot in Monahans suffered another break in on Monday night. Thieves stole $30 to $35 in nickels dimes and quarters from the juke box and took three cases of beer. Entry gained through a northwest window. The cafe had last been broken into January 14 with $12 taken from the juke box and one case of beer.

A 14 year old Monahans boy Keith Bailey suffered a slight brain concussion and bruises to the arm shoulder and leg when his motor scooter went out of control at the million barrel tank east of town. He was taken to the hospital resting well the day after the 5 p.m. accident. Jerry Thurman transported Bailey home and returned to recover the scooter.
