Lamothe Named Registrar For Area Draft Board
Monahans resident James F. Lamothe was named registrar for the Reeves Pecos Loving Ward Winkler county draft board in the Monahans area. Area men reaching 18 may register at the Courthouse Annex during regular hours and a local registrar avoids travel to Pecos. Colonel Morris S Schwartz praised Lamothe for unpaid public service and reminded that all males must register on or within five days after their 18th birthday. Penalties for failure to register include up to a 10000 dollar fine or five years in prison.
