Mike Virgin Wounded In Viet Nam
Marine Corporal Michael K. Virgin was wounded in action 25 miles south of Da Nang on January 29 during a Viet Cong ambush. He received treatment on a Navy hospital ship and is now in a Guam hospital undergoing further care and has earned the Purple Heart. Virgin arrived in Viet Nam December 22 after six months in Okinawa.

Suspects Arrested In Grandfalls Burglary
Two Grandfalls men Carlos Cadena Jr. 20 and Valente Santiago Ornelas 19 were arrested in Monahans about 3:00 am Wednesday and charged with burglary of the Sunbeam Grocery in Grandfalls. Nine cartons of cigarettes were stolen after breaking in. They remain in Ward County Jail on $2,000 bonds each.
