Monahans Chamber of Commerce named Walt Roeber outstanding citizen at the annual banquet held Thursday night with about 450 attendees from Pecos Ft. Stockton Andrews Midland and Odessa. Honorees included Bryan Stuckey DVM and Juan Arredondo Youth Leadership Award. Mayor Hoyer presided and Texas Agriculture Commissioner Reagan Brown spoke.

Dr Stuckey, first vice chairman of Physician's Recruitment, led a county fund drive for PRI raising 27000 locally in under three months. Funds support contracts with Holston and Belizaire, enable Davison relocation to Monahans, and improve Ward County health care. He organized three PRI committees, aligning Rotary Club involvement since 1978.
