Rain and fog boost Monahans rainfall to 1.47 inches
Soft rains added .3 inch moisture by mid morning Sunday. The Monahans Soil Conservation Service says year to date rainfall reached 1.47 inches after measurements from Thursday through Sunday. Heaviest .15 inch came Friday night with .11 inch Saturday night. Thick fog from Thursday night into Friday morning caused at least one minor traffic mishap with no injuries.
