Coffee Break To Aid Christmas Basket Fund
Local restaurants will donate all coffee proceeds on designated days to the Christmas Basket Fund for Needy Families. Farr's Restaurant schedules Saturday December 4, with Joe's Cafe and Ruth's Cafe planned soon. November Building Permits Report Totals 56 200

The 17 member cast will perform the comedy Belles On Their Toes with a dress rehearsal Tuesday. First production is Thursday at 12 50 at Hudler Junior High, then Friday morning at the high school, and the public show Friday at 8 in the high school auditorium. Tickets cost 75 cents for adults and 50 cents for students. Amy Stone assists, Bob Parks serves as stage manager.

Murder Case to Be Investigated by Grand Jury
Ward County Grand Jury convenes at 10 a.m. to study the murder of Latin American couple Mr. and Mrs. Reyes Garcia found beaten to death in their apartment on the morning of November 19. Delbert Jones, 24, a trucking company employee, is held for grand jury action.

Crash Kills Two West Of Pyote Thursday Mid-Day
Two people died and three injured in a mid day two car crash on the Barstow to Pyote highway. Deceased are Mildred Anderson Stone 51 of Dallas and Leon Bronkhorst 18 of Irvington New Jersey. Investigating officers say the Bronkhorst car attempted to pass another vehicle. The injured Theunis Bronkhorst his wife and Arthur Wood Stone were treated at Reeves County Hospital.

Weekend stabbings keep officers busy in Odessa area
Two knife attacks occurred Saturday night into Sunday morning. Domin Rivera Ocon, 41, from Odessa, was stabbed at a Coliseum dance and required surgery but is recovering. Hattie Mae Ridges was also stabbed on the north side. her injuries were not serious and police call the second case a possible family dispute.
