A layered dessert combines white or yellow cake with pineapple and strawberry cream. Prepare by halving the cake, spreading pineapple between layers, folding berries into whipped cream, and icing with remaining cream. Garnish with whole berries for a seasonal finish.
Mr and Mrs Bob Calloway of Denton visited his parents Waylon and Mrs. Martin last week. He attends North Texas State University this summer. Mrs Fannie Walker of 307 West Lith returned from a Mexico City trip with teachers visiting the National Museum of Fine Arts the Ballet and government buildings. The group also stayed in Taxco, center of silver mines.

Mrs McLain Lola Butler is a North Texas State University senior. Also at home after a two week California vacation are Mr and Mrs Hubert Allen and Mrs Joe Stanfield.
Sandhills Park Museum will host art classes in August with air conditioned space and natural light. Mrs. Sam Zweiger announces sessions from Aug 5 to Aug 16. Adults meet Mon Wed Fri 9 to noon. children 8 and up attend Tue Thu 9 to 10:30. Call WI 3-2346 for registration.
