Centennial visits fuel praise for Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

Reporter extols the Centennial exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. The building on Broad Street cost 460000 and opened April 22. The piece highlights subscriptions to cover deficits, notable paintings by West Stuart Allston and others, and the rich collection of engravings donated by John Philips. It surveys revolutionary relics, portraits, and Japan exhibits, praising art, relics, and the civic spirit fueling the centennial celebration.
