Memorial Sermon Honors Robert Kerr Swan Of Moline
A eulogy portrait recalls Robert Kerr Swan born July 19 1925 in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania migrating to Moline in 1852. He built Candee Swan Pump Co then led plow works rising to a four story brick factory employing hundreds. Swan helped strangers and workers alike, funded church programs, and lived a life of charity and public spirit, dying after a lengthy illness.
