Chas A Jarvis of Rock Island, hotel man, to be a prominent pilgrim to the silver shrine in Colorado. John Yager of Moline plans to move to Hastings Nebraska for a new home and farm. Mr Olsen of Faderneslander in Chicago may move his Swedish paper to Moline if incentives suffice.
Little activity this week in Circuit Court with the criminal docket to be called next Monday. Among cases to be heard is the murder of Policeman Rosenfield of Rock Island. Able counsel are employed on both sides. William A. Meese of this city defends Aug Borgwaldt for larceny.
The Keater House will open under Mr. O N Bugbee next Thursday evening May 22. Committees of prominent citizens have organized invitations and preparations are made for a creditable event with a $5 per couple ticket. Attendants will enjoy supper, dancing, sociable contact, and music by the Rock Island Light Guard Band.
