Death of A F Swander in Moline
The community bids farewell to Alexander Frederick Swander a long time Rock Island County leader and Moline resident who died after a bout of illness. He served as sheriff and police magistrate, supported public works and farming innovations, and left a widow nine children surviving him. Rev Linfield delivered the funeral sermon detailing his life and faith universalist in background but embracing Christian unity.
