Rob and Alice's Return to the McGregor Farm
In a sunlit farm hall Rob McGregor frays at a budding engagement and a friend’s confession. Alice Winfold arrives with gossip of engagements and a plea from Miss Winfold to Rob about Jack Talbot. Rob contemplates loyalty, love, and treachery as she writes a secret note to Teddy Barton while Peter Smith carries news of a distant meeting.
