Officials clash over Postal Telegraph night office terms, bill posters ordinances, and paving Nineteenth Street with calls for drainage districts and timely action.
Local businessmen urge open telegraph line against city hurdle
Businessmen argue the city council should not block the Postal Telegraph Cable Co. from building through Moline. They warn a monopoly by Western Union could worsen and say open access would boost facilities and competition as the Postal line expands with demand.
