Abduction and burglary cases headlined in Rock Island court
In circuit court yesterday Bert Williams was found guilty of abducting Della Cowdery and faces penitentiary time after a brief jury deliberation. Charles Emerson and Dr C A Wal lace were sentenced to Joliet penitentiary for burglaries. Charles Gravel's trial for assault with intent to commit murder continues as he allegedly threatened Henry Sargent at a boarding house.
