Rotary Hay Plow Demonstrated By R. R. Division
Friday's Evening Dispatch reports the new rotary hay plow being hauled to the northern division. It is the first of its kind purchased by R. R. & P. and was examined by railroad men in the yard. The machine uses twelve knives on a rotating wheel to lift snow into a box, with two locomotive engines sharing throttle and reversing gear. The plow stands ten feet seven inches high with a capacity to move large volumes of snow depending on weight and wheel speed.
