Secretary Receives Christmas Gift from Deere & Co Employees
Tistley Lofgreen, secretary of Deere & Co Employee Aid Association, received a holiday gift from the group. He was presented an oak secretary, an upholstered office chair, a Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary, two cut glass ink stands, and a gold pen with holder, while J. E. Fight at Rock Island House Leaves Man Slashed
Two men argued over a dice throw at the Rock Island House saloon about midnight Tuesday. George Stamlin tried to keep the peace as Will Chatterton, the leading man, rushed out and was stabbed in the left breast by Chance, a former Keen employee now with Moline Wagon Co. The attacker is in custody awaiting result of the wound. Chatterton is recovering.
