The December 3 1881 meeting with Mayor and aldermen heard the Rest House committee recommendation to join Rock Island in locating st houses on county land or a convenient site but opposed county land near the watch tower. Clerk pro tem L B Fish noted and the report was adopted.

It claims to strengthen liver and kidneys, regulate bowels, heal lungs, build nerves, cleanse the blood, and treat numerous conditions from dyspepsia to skin diseases. A testimonial from Mrs. M. Martin of Cleveland endorses the remedy, noting rapid improvement. The product is sold by Wim Clendenin, Gruggist, Pos block, at $1 per bottle.
