History warns on unlimited silver coinage and debasement
The excerpt argues that debased coinage harms national economy by driving out good money, with Charles II era examples. It notes that as cheap coins gain, trade collapses, prices rise, and bankers prosper while others suffer. The piece predicts a future if silver becomes unlimited, suggesting wealth concentrates among those with bonds and money.
