Bridge proposal gains traction across Henry and Rock Island counties
Amid debates over funding and debt, Henry and Rock Island counties discuss rebuilding a Rock River bridge. Producers in Henry county favor better Rock Island market access, while Rock Island supports the project despite debt. Farmers on the Henry side back the plan, with Colona Cleveland or Barstow as focal points. The move could boost regional trade and public demand.
