School Case Settled by Transfer of Land and Students

The vexed school case is settled by transferring 14 acres and 24 children from Cleveland district to Colona district to align schooling with proximity. The move shifts valuations and per child costs, leaving Cleveland with 66 students at 115 dollars and Colona with 144 students at 448 dollars. Colona trustees resolve the petition, noting some taxpayers favor the change and that it reduces distance to the Colona school. Miss Nellie Stephens returns to Evanston after a brief home visit.
