Old Man Radioes His Ward and Two Nephews in a Will
At Walton-on-Thames an elderly man schemes to control his ward Mary Sutton while weighing two nephews John Meade and Peter Finch. A bitter talk about charity versus self reliance ends with a will: Emma Briggs inherits four thousand pounds, Mary Sutton ten thousand, and John ten thousand to fund his art, while Peter receives two thousand for his library. Mary marries John. Meade begins a grand historical painting.
