Bold robbery on the Southern express near Branchville

An audacious express robbery occurred seven o'clock Monday evening on the Southern railroad five miles from Branchville South Carolina. Five to eight men rode the platform between engine and baggage car at the 55 mile board and, unmasked, crawled over the tender to threaten the engineer John Reynolds with Winchesters.
