Little Rock January 23 The Arkansas House of Representatives refused to adopt a resolution endorsing President Roosevelt's handling of enlisted Negroes who took part in the Brownsville riots. The measure, introduced by Republican Senator Legate, passed the Senate unanimously.

Fire at Williams Building in Richmond Threatens Chamber of Commerce

A large blaze in the Williams building at Ninth and Cary streets, Richmond, Virginia, is active from 145 o clock Wednesday morning. The fire, reaching nearby property by 2 30 a m, endangers the Chamber of Commerce building and surrounding tobacco factories while the city fire department fights the flames.

Texas Legislature Reelects Bailey to U S Senate
