Beal a long time county resident died peacefully at age 92 leaving behind a legacy of community service. He was known for involvement in local farming and church activities and was survived by family members and neighbors who recall his steady presence in the community.
Daniel N. Beal, pioneer settler born in Vermont February 15 1798, died Monday evening at 8 30 in Coal Valley Township near Rock River. He came from east in 1834 and lived on Beal’s homestead with his daughter Eunice Cooper’s family. His son Dr A Beal attended him. pneumonia ended a long decline after years on the tract.
