Complications Delay House Move From Mokena to Normandy Lane
Seven residents objected to the move of a two story nine room house owned by Mrs. William Hecht from Mokena to Normandy Lane outside village limits. The county building commission has paused the permit pending a Sept. 18 hearing at the Will county courthouse. The house, originally at First and Mokena Streets, stood on a nearby lot temporarily as crews repaired lines. The owners plan new siding heat and redecorating, while objectors oppose a two story structure in a block of mostly one story homes.
