Joliet area officials hear future highway concepts linking Wolf Rd as a four lane freeway from the state line to Green Garden township near Frankfort then east through Crete and Steger toward Indiana via U.S. 41. Engineers Ralph Wehner and Ronald Havel caution that a computer model guides projections with updates every six months and that major interchanges near Joliet may delay I 80 completion until 1968. They seek community input on routing Wolf Rd and acknowledge plans may shift as the study progresses.
