Book Names Mayor Book Heads Mokena Board
Eric Book took office as mayor of Mokena at the May 5 board meeting. George Bills and Roy Richardson were sworn in as new trustees, with Clarence Zugenbuehler and incumbent Charles The senior mayor Sworn-in by Village Clerk Sorensen. The fire department pinochle tourney on May 15 and dance on May 22 will raise funds for equipment and supplies. Proceeds support rescue tools and a new truck. tickets are $3 per person for both events. Other items include committee appointments, plan commission confirmation, zoning notes, bids on Francis Road watermain, and paving bids for First Street Parker and McGovney streets.
