LW Students Open Drive For School Radio Station
Lincoln-Way high school band will host a Winter concert Sunday March 4 at 3 PM in the school auditorium to raise funds for a student sponsored FM radio station. The goal is a 10 watt transmitter to serve the Lincoln Way district and start operation by September. Proceeds from the concert vaudeville and all school play would finance the station and allow airing of school activities to homes.

Physician Opens Office In Mokena By Greek Surgeon Dr Carnavos
Dr. D C Carnavos, 37, born in Athens, opens a general practice and chest heart surgery in the former Dr J A Ramonas space on Front Street in Mokena. He will work 3 to 7 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 10 am to 1 pm Saturday, with morning surgery in Chicago on many days. He trained in Munich, New York, Cleveland, Denver and was licensed in Illinois in 1961. He is on several hospital staffs and is married to Lydia, a non practicing dentist from New York born in Austria.
