Frankfort Couple Dies in Tinley Park Crash on U S 30
Mr and Mrs Ora Andrews of Frankfort township were driving home from Tinley Park Jan 13 when their car collided head on with an eastbound vehicle driven by David J Berg of Lincoln Estates on U S 30 east of 80th avenue. Mrs Andrews died at St James hospital Chicago Heights. The Berg and Andrews drivers received emergency treatment but were not hospitalized.

Awards Dinner To Honor Mokena’s Top Citizens
The Mokena Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual awards dinner Saturday night to honor five area residents receiving Outstanding Citizen honors. Inductees include Thomas R. Williams Edward Meyers Daniel Warren Wesley Bisgrove and Peter Winker. Enlistees and others will receive plaques from Father Cecil Koop and Rabbi M M Hershman will speak at Camp Manitoqu a Sauk Trail east of Frankfort. Tickets are four dollars.

Posthumous Honor for Paul Skip Smith In Scout Lodge
The Waupecan Lodge Rainbow council Boy Scouts posthumously awarded the Vigil Honor to Paul Skip Smith of Mokena at the annual meeting held at Morris Methodist Church with 180 attendees. The award was accepted by his widow and presented by Henry Steuart and Ed ward Vollmer. Dennis Stevens and Al Kaufman also received honors.

State highway bids for ten grade separation structures on I-80 near Springfield to be opened tomorrow January 28.
