New Lenox School Board contemplates adding twelve classrooms on the Oakview site to handle rising enrollments. The Oakview property spans 13 acres and architectural work is to be handled by Alexander, Borkon, Westphal, and DeYoung of Joliet. Enrollment is projected to reach about 2,000 students by September 1968.

The Mokena Chamber of Commerce elected John Langland president succeeding Wagner Ryder. New officers include Raymond Bisgrove vice president Mrs Marcia Miller secretary Daniel Kurber treasurer and Walter Welsch director. The group will maintain a public events calendar at the Front street office and use the chamber as a clearing center to coordinate dates.
