Firefighters from five towns battled the fire as funds from the Mokena Chamber of Commerce Lions Club and Pomar Land Trust poured in, totaling over $600 plus in-kind aid by last Friday.

Lions dedicate Frankfort ice rink in community park
The Frankfort Lions Club will dedicate a new outdoor ice rink in Frankfort Community Park on January 6 at 7 p.m. The project replaces an older rink on Kansas street and adds a future double-size concrete tennis court.
