Fatal Highway Crash Kills Boy From New Lenox And Man From Frankfort
Two people died in separate crashes Monday. Joseph Harms, a 14 year old Lincoln Way High School freshman from New Lenox, was struck on N Cedar Rd and died at Silver Cross Hospital. George M Reynolds, 27, of Frankfort, an insurance agent, died hours after his car was hit on U S 30 while he was driving east. Curtis L La Fontaine and Sam M Demumbrum were among those cited. Reynolds represented John Hancock Insurance and lived in Frankfort with his wife Henrietta and a 2 year old child. Funeral for Harms held at St Jude Church after services at Baskerville Chapel.

Funeral today for Mary Anne Gerardi 49
Funeral services were held this morning for Mary Ann Gerardi 49 who died December 11 at St James Hospital Chicago Heights. She was the wife of Eu Eugene Jr who operates the Frankfort Chapel on U S 30. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery Steger. Survivors include three daughters Janice Marianne and Caralie and three sons Jerry Larry and Gary. Her mother Caroline Verba survived. father Emil Verba died in 1966. Mrs Gerardi had been ill three months.

Fred J Wannemacher 72 life resident of Mokena died December 6 at St James Hospital Chicago Heights after a short illness. Born May 21 1895 on a Mokena area farm he was a lifelong farmer and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by sister Mrs Pauline Walter Pasadena California and sisters Frieda and Nettie. Services were held December 9 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Mokena officiated by Rev Edgar Pflug with interment in the church cemetery.
