Hash Over Objections To Local Road Closures
About 50 area residents attended a Willow Crest School hearing Monday on proposed closures of 187th St east and west of U.S. 45 and 76th Ave. over I-80 as part of the FAI-80 expressway project. Attorneys for Frankfort Township and local property owners urged access and an overpass at 104th Ave, noting farms and a potential subdivision and stressing safer routes. Public hearings will determine changes, but most locals remained skeptical the plans would shift.
