At a Will County hearing the Weitendorf to Mokena district detachment petition was dismissed on a technical notice error. The petition may be withdrawn and refiled. new hearing and notice would follow. If approved, changes take effect July 1, 1963.

Frankfort Village Board Adopts Tax Levy Ordinance
The Frankfort village board approved the fiscal year tax levy set at 22 769, about 2 800 less than last year. Krusemark explained real estate and personal property taxes will produce roughly 21 586, plus 13 700 from the bond and interest account and 30 750 from other sources for total about 66 000 to meet 108 914 in appropriations. The 1961 assessed valuation rose to 4 158 387 from the prior year.
