J W Shew Ends Life In Family Home Shooting
J W Shew killed himself at 9 30 this morning at the family home on South Williams Street. Mrs Shew, the only person in the house at the time, described three shots from a 42 caliber revolver and the immediate death that followed. Neighbors and authorities suspect the act was premeditated as Shew had suffered nerve trouble and poor health recently. The coroner set an inquest for this evening while Harold Shew and Janette Shew were noted as involved family members.
